TRANSACT TECHNOLOGIES RECEIVES NOTIFICATION OF GAMING LABORATORIES INC. APPROVALS FOR THE EPIC 950™ PRINTER Wallingford, CT - July 12, 2005 - TransAct Technologies Incorporated (Nasdaq: TACT) today announced that it has received notice that multiple slot machine manufacturers have been granted Gaming Laboratories Inc. (GLI) approval for the use of TransAct's Ithaca Epic950™ in their slot machine platforms. Included in the list of manufacturers getting approval are IGT and Konami and other leading providers of slot machines to the worldwide casino market.

TransAct Technologies is a leading producer of transaction-based printers for customers worldwide.
