NEW SOUTH WALES AUSTRALIA APPROVES TICKET-IN TICKET-OUT (TITO)

Hamden, CT, May 17, 2007 - TransAct Technologies Incorporated (NASDAQ: TACT), a leading producer of transaction-based printers for customers worldwide, today announced that the use of ticket-in ticket-out (TITO) technology for printing vouchers at slot machines has been approved in New South Wales, Australia. There are currently over 100,000 slot machines installed in the region. It is expected that most of these machines will either be upgraded or replaced to allow for ticket-in ticket-out functions.
