TRANSACT TECHNOLOGIES TO SHOWCASE AWARD-WINNING PRINTER AT INTERNATIONAL CASINO EXPOSITION (ICE)
WALLINGFORD, CT, January 22, 2007 - TransAct Technologies Incorporated (NASDAQ: TACT), the leading producer of transaction-based printers for customers worldwide, along with Eurocoin, its exclusive European distributor, will showcase the award-winning Epic 950 gaming printer and the modular Epic 430 customer self-service gaming printer at the International Casino Exposition (ICE), Stand #4010, on January 23-25 in London.
The TransAct/Eurocoin partnership continues to be a strong gaming market force. Last year, TransAct extended its exclusivity agreement with Eurocoin through 2009 due to the success the partnership has achieved in the international gaming markets. Eurocoin is one of Europe's leading suppliers of products for the amusement and gaming industries. This year, the partnership has taken a fresh approach to further developing the strength of the two brands, implementing an innovative co-branded "Faces" advertising campaign at the International Casino Exposition.
TransAct Technologies Chairman, President and CEO, Bart C. Shuldman commented, "Our international gaming sales continue to grow at a steady and significant pace and this is due in no small part to the strong partnership we enjoy with Eurocoin. Our world-class products and Eurocoin's strong sales approach are a good match. With TransAct's award-winning Epic 950 leading the pack in innovation for the Ticket In Ticket Out market, and the Epic 430 gaining momentum in off-premise gaming, Eurocoin has been able to deliver a high volume of repeat and new business to these growing markets."
The Epic 950 thermal gaming printer, recently named one of International Gaming & Wagering Business' (IGWB) Top 20 International Gaming Products, will be among the printers demonstrated at ICE. The Epic 950 turns tickets into branding tools, generating countless ticket options and promotional layouts.
Eurocoin Director Colin Veitch said, "The growth and success we have achieved is indicative of the top-of-the-line, innovative products TransAct designs and manufactures. We look forward to continuing to grow market share through our partnership with them."
