TRANSACT ATTENDS NATIVE AMERICAN GAMING ASSOCIATION TRADESHOW IN ALLIANCE OF GAMING PERIPHERAL LEADERS

March 30, 2006

Wallingford, CT, March 30, 2006 - TransAct Technologies Incorporated (Nasdaq: TACT), the leading producer of transaction-based printers for customers worldwide, announced today it would attend the Native American Gaming Association (NIGA) Tradeshow, in the premier joint appearance of gaming peripheral alliance partners TransAct Technologies, JCM American and Tovis Monitors. The annual NIGA tradeshow will be held April 2-5 at the Albuquerque Convention Center, with the alliance in booth #1209.

Earlier this year, the three leaders in gaming peripherals, TransAct, JCM American and Tovis Monitors, came together to combine the reach of JCM's industry-leading sales force with the world-class technologies of TransAct and Tovis. This enabled the JCM sales force to provide the most complete range of gaming products available under one roof. JCM American Corporation is the industry leader in currency handling systems and provides products, software and services to the gaming, vending, banking, amusement, and petroleum industries. Tovis Monitors is the leading manufacturer of monitors and displays for the gaming industry.

"We entered into this alliance because it presented an opportunity to provide our customers with a winning combination of JCM's industry leading sales and service support and our world class transaction printers," said Bart C. Shuldman, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of TransAct Technologies. "Our combined presence at NIGA will be the first opportunity to demonstrate the many benefits of this alliance to the gaming industry."

"We've brought together the recognized worldwide leaders in their fields, and now we represent the best products and highest level of customer service. And with our combined history of supporting Tribal gaming, we are all thrilled to be making our first group tradeshow appearance at NIGA," said JCM Vice President of Gaming Solutions Tom Nieman.

On display will be the wide range of products the alliance jointly represents, including the TransAct Epic 950™ printer, the award-winning Universal Bill Acceptor (UBA™), Trident™ Table Safe System, and Tovis monitors.

The TransAct Epic 950™ thermal gaming printer offers patented dual port connectivity with built-in two color capability and extensive memory to store graphics that allows real-time, customer-specific promotions right on the slot floor. Advanced USB connectivity enables its use with server-based and downloadable games. In addition, TransAct's patent-pending Hotswap QDT™ Quick Disconnect Technology maximizes uptime by enabling operators to interchange printers even while a game is powered-on.

JCM's (UBA™) is the next generation bill validator, utilizing magnetic and optical sensors and is completed by its forward/backward-compatible, high-impact Plastic Cash Box. The Trident Table Safe System is a complete table management system that tracks assets from the table to the pit to the soft count room, and to the back office. Tovis offers a wide array of best performance LCD monitors including standard 15", 17", 19" and wide format 23", 26", 32", 40", 42", 46", 55". Also, Tovis provides monitors with customized design and configuration to meet the customers' need exactly.
